Spraying Textured materials (render)

Render must be sprayed with a special spraygun that introduces compressed air into the material flow to blast it into a spray

Render can be sprayed providing that the solids do not separate under pressure.  Cementitious renders are usually not sprayable with a pressure system but may be able to be sprayed with a hopper gun or tyrolean machine.

The HAMA MC3V which has a worm pump and rubber stator, will spray renders having particle sizes up to 5.0 mm (not more, so the average should be around 3 mm).  Solvent based renders should not be sprayed with this sprayer as the solvent will attack the rubber stator.  It has a matching compressor the H460 with a 3 kW motor that runs continuously.  A new HAMA plaster/render sprayer is the Duo Power 2.0 which has a longer worm drive pump and develops enough pressure to spray airless plaster without needind a compressor, but it can also spray render with compressed air;  it is presently only available for 230v.

The Graco T-Max family can be converted to spray renders with a maximum particle size of 3.0 mm (so the average particle size should be around 1.8 mm), by introducing compressed air into the T-Max plaster gun and changing the airless spray tip to a nozzle, typically 4 mm size.  Like the HAMA, the T-Max are not compatible with solvent based renders.

Although the HAMA and the T-Max require an external supply of compressed air, Graco has a self contained plaster sprayer the RTX1500 with a peristaltic pump and an in-built compressor that can spray renders having a maximum particle size of 3 mm at up to 7.6 litres/minute and maximum 100 psi.  It is not compatible with solvent based renders and only available for 230v supply.

The only render sprayer that we can offer that is compatible with solvent based materials, such as Andura, is the Graco President 10:1 Evenflo.  A time tried and tested render sprayer that has proved itself over several decades, but it requires at least 40 cfm of compressed air which normally means a single tool compressor that you tow behind a vehicle.  It will pump up to   litres/minute at amximum 1,800 psi
