Graco G-40 air-assisted airless spraygun

Air assisted airless (AA) uses a special airless spray gun with compressed air injected into the atomised paint stream, to improve the atomisation and hence the quality of the finish.  An AA sprayer can spray at much lower material pressure than airless, which is makes it much more suitable to spray paint in situations where the classic airless dust would be unacceptable.

This Graco G-40 air-assisted airless (AA) spraygun is typically used by painting contractors and joiners as it has an easy to remove RAC-X reversible spray tip.  For factory production, a fixed AA spray tip is more often used and this AA gun may be converted to use one.
